Paraguayan government settles commitments with suppliers

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), through the General Directorate of Public Treasury, began the disbursement of G. 481.242 million, equivalent to approximately US$ 83 million, intended for suppliers and creditors of the Paraguayan State. The payments, originally disclosed by the ABC Color newspaper, extend until Friday and cover the Resource Transfer Requests (STR) submitted between September 29 and October 5 of this year.

Origin of funds and beneficiary institutions

According to the bulletin issued by the economic portfolio, the funds are divided into three financing sources: G. 197.215 million originating from Treasury Resources (Fonte 10), G. 180.468 million from Public Credit Resources (Fonte 20) and G. 103.559 million from Institutional Resources (Fonte 30). The payments reach suppliers of various public bodies, including national universities, ministries such as Public Works and Health, in addition to the Presidency of the Republic.
